Now more than ever, women are rising in the ranks and paving the way for future generations. Ten years ago, when we formed Private Ocean, we wanted a name for our firm that captured who we were then and who we knew we would become. Our name is derived from a concept where an experience is deeply personal and the resources and opportunities are immense. That applies to our commitment to our clients and to our employees. We strive for excellence in all that we do and take great pride in a positive work culture that is both supportive and inclusive. We believe in recognizing and celebrating talent and offering opportunities for continued growth and education – and above all, we seek to empower people to best serve our clients and to make a difference in our communities.
While we know we still have a long way to go, we celebrate those who have helped broaden our reach and our understanding of the changing world around us. Amongst our group of incredibly talented and dedicated team of women professionals are nine professionals with CFP® designations, four CDFA® professionals, four MBA recipients, a CFA® professional and a Doctor of Education (EdD). In addition, 67% of our leadership team are made up of women and 53% of our total staff are female.
